Dear Client,
I am looking forward to meeting you. Here are just a couple of tips I want to pass on before your visit. It is important for you to be hydrated in the days leading up to your appointment. If you have a fever, cold or flu symptoms, a new medication you are adjusting too, or a skin irritation, I will be happy to reschedule your appointment for you.
Do not eat directly prior to your apt time if possible. Once you arrive take nice deep breath, relax; this time has been saved especially for you. At your first apt you will be ask to complete a intake form so please be 15 minutes early. It is always a good practice to arrive early for all appointments. This allows you time to unwind and relax before your relaxation/therapy time. If you are pregnant, please check with your health care provider to make sure that massage is appropriate for you at this time. If you have any question or health care concern on whether massage is right for you, contact your health care provider before you schedule your massage. A complete and accurate health form is very important for the therapist to know your expectations from the massage as well as any contraindications for massage. After the form is reviewed your therapist will step out of the room to let you get undressed to your level of comfort.
Once undressed, to your level of comfort, lay down on the massage table under the sheets, the therapist will let you know if you will be face up or down. Only the areas being massaged will be uncovered at the time with proper draping used. Your comfort is very important so your feedback is needed on the amount of pressure used, temperature of the room, and the volume of the music. My goal is for you to get the most out of your session. Some people like to talk and some like it quiet so your lead will be followed.
After the massage time has concluded please take your time getting up off the table. If you feel light headed or dizzy so please take it slow. If you need assistance please ask. You will need to drink extra water. This will hydrate you’re your body and help your muscles. Some people experience a little soreness especially if you have never had a massage before and stretching will help. Please notify your therapist if you have any questions and feel free to re-book at any time.
